Siemens - Q4 and full year 2017'Digital Factory' is growing the fastest
Siemens has announced its figures for fiscal year 2017, which ended on September 30. The frontrunner in terms of turnover: the 'Digital Factory' division with an increase of 9% on a comparable basis - i.e. excluding currency translation and portfolio effects.

In the Energy Management division, there was a sharp increase in incoming orders. This was primarily due to a major order totaling EUR 0.8 billion for a grid connection project for offshore wind farms in Germany. Sales revenue, on the other hand, declined - mainly in the division's electricity transmission business. Due to lower expenses for personnel restructuring, there was nevertheless an increase in earnings.
