German Trade Fair
Hannover Messe 2022 planned as a physical trade fair
After two years of abstinence, Hannover Messe is to be held as a physical trade fair from April 25 to 29, 2022 - supplemented by a comprehensive range of digital services for exhibitors and visitors.
"The past few months have shown that digital formats cannot replace a real trade fair," says Dr. Jochen Köckler, CEO of Deutsche Messe. "In April 2022, innovations will once again be brought to life on the packed exhibition grounds and the focus will be on personal contacts." Virtual services will be offered in addition to the physical trade fair presence. "The exhibiting companies decide whether they want to participate physically, hybrid or purely digitally and thus leverage the potential of additional leads and reach in the digital space," explains Dr. Köckler.
The leading theme of the Hannover Messe is Industrial Transformation. According to Dr Köckler, the industrial transformation is being driven by two megatrends: the digitalization of industry and the reduction of C02 emissions. Digitalization involves topics such as networking, data analytics, the Internet of Things, platforms, artificial intelligence and IT security.
The industry is responding to increasing global warming and the political and social debates surrounding climate protection with innovative solutions. At the Hannover Messe, companies from the energy sector, among others, will be presenting how industrial companies can significantly reduce their energy consumption and C02 emissions.
