Combining hydraulics and building automation

The Novocon digital actuator from Danfoss is a 4-in-1 solution, as it is also a bus communication unit, flow indicator and data logger. This allows heating and cooling systems in commercial buildings to be controlled via the building automation system.

Together with the pressure-independent balancing and control valve 'AB-QM', the actuator enables optimization in all phases of installation, commissioning, system integration and maintenance. The systems can be monitored and operated remotely from the office. The actuator increases both the overview of the systems, for example with the real-time volume flow display, as well as safety thanks to status feedback including alarm functions. In addition, a data logger records the performance data of a building and saves it in a log. This means that opportunities for saving energy can be identified immediately and better utilized.
