Effective October 1, Siemens appoints Eckard Eberle as CEO of Siemens Global Business Services.

Eckard Eberle has been appointed CEO of Siemens Global Business Services. Eberle succeeds Hannes Apitzsch, who has led Global Business Services since 2019. Apitzsch is now retiring after 40 years. He will continue to support Siemens in an advisory capacity until December 31, 2022.

As CEO of the Process Automation Business Unit at Siemens Digital Industries, Eberle has been responsible for the sale of products, solutions and systems for automation in the process industry since 2014. Axel Lorenz will now take over this position.
