"The VDMA and its members are stunned that Russia has started a war in Europe. In the past, Russia had also committed itself by treaty and under international law to the inviolability of European borders and to refraining from the use of force. We condemn this breach of international law in the strongest possible terms!

The VDMA supports the decision to sanction the aggression severely. These sanctions will also have an impact on the mechanical and plant engineering industry, the extent of which cannot be estimated at present."
