"Even if we have not yet reached the pre-pandemic figures again with around 350 exhibitors, there are clear signs of stability. Last year, we were still struggling with the uncertainty caused by the coronavirus pandemic, but other problems are now affecting the markets. It will therefore be some time before the general conditions allow growth for the industry and trade fairs again and we return to pre-corona figures. But we are counteracting this with many exciting highlights that will make Sensor+Test more attractive," explains Holger Bödeker, organizer and Managing Director of AMA Service.

These include the 'Job Lounge', which is taking place for the first time and was created because the trade fair is of great importance not only for skilled workers, but also for the start of a professional career. Numerous university institutes from the relevant specialist areas regularly organize excursions to Sensor+Test, which offers enormous potential for exhibiting companies, especially in the current situation. "We will continue to expand our support services to overcome the shortage of skilled workers in the coming years. We see it as our task to actively mediate and bring the important players together," explains Elena Schultz, authorized signatory at AMA Service.

The SMSI 2023 - Sensor and Measurement Science International Conference in the Congress Center West at NürnbergMesse will be held alongside the exhibition on 8 May. The conference brings together national and international representatives from research, science, industry and government institutions. Experts and young scientists from 14 countries will come together to present their latest research findings and exchange ideas and future trends with other experts.

The free lecture program for all visitors will take place on all three days of the fair at the Forum in Hall 1. Here, interested visitors can get an overview of the exhibitors' latest products and developments. For those who are unable to attend, all presentations will be broadcast live and the recordings will be published online after the event. In the series of presentations on 'Sensors and measurement technology for new energies' on the first day of the trade fair, exhibitors will show how they intend to meet the challenges of the future energy supply.

The PCIM Europe and SMTconnect trade fairs take place at the same time as Sensor+Test.
