Measurements including temperature compensation

The piezoresistive absolute pressure sensor 4017A from Kistler is suitable for engine development as well as hydraulic and pneumatic applications in both cold and hot environments.

It comes in a size of just M5x0.5 and, according to the manufacturer, has been specially designed for maximum robustness and accuracy. Its oil-filled measuring cell is media-separated by a steel diaphragm and provides a high level of media compatibility for both gaseous and liquid media. Thanks to a temperature-compensated operating range of -20 to +140 °C, the sensor can also be used for cold tests. The digital temperature compensation ensures high accuracy (≤1 % FSO) even under harsh environmental conditions. An integrated temperature measuring element monitors the sensor status during measurements (operating temperature range: -40 to +180 °C). The sensor is available with different measuring ranges for pressures up to 5, 10, 20 or 50 bar - optionally also with ATEX certification (Zone 2) for applications in potentially hazardous areas.
