New generation of encoders

The 'Sendix' encoders have been an integral part of the Kübler product portfolio for many years. Now a new generation of encoders has been developed with state-of-the-art sensor and electronics technology that is suitable for integration into future IIoT environments.

The basis for 'Sendix K58' and 'K80', the two sizes 58 mm and 80 mm, is formed by the standardized housing concepts, which can be found in all variants from incremental to single or multiturn. This enables designers to plan with simplicity and efficiency in terms of installation space or mounting types thanks to the uniform design-in concept. Kübler quality standards in the choice of materials, safety lock technology or EMC shielding concepts have been further optimized and the number of individual components reduced. A hollow shaft variant is now available up to 25.4 mm for the K58 and up to 42 mm for the K80. At the heart of both encoders is a new sensor system based on a metallic code disk, which enables resolutions of up to 36,000 ppr compared to the usual glass disks. Programmable versions are also available for maximum flexibility.
