The Osi-Sense XCKW wireless position switch from Telemecanique Sensors, a division of Schneider Electric, has been specially developed for moving machine parts or confined spaces to guarantee error-free data transmission. The transmission of data via Zigbee protocol simplifies machine cabling and thus also reduces acquisition and electrical maintenance costs compared to standard position switches. With regard to the application with the 'XCKS' and 'XCKM' series, the actuators of the position switches have proven to be compatible with the 'XCKW' and can be integrated into existing systems. The switch is not dependent on external energy sources due to its own power supply. Like the standard position switches, the wireless position switch is robust and waterproof thanks to its fully sealed housing (IP66 and IP67). The clearly coded radio signal of the Zigbee communication enables data transmission with a maximum range of 100 m. The position switch can communicate with one or more receivers and one or more transmitters.
