Guidefast Control energy chain system from Igus

Energy chain systems as an alternative to pure trailing cables are also gaining ground in indoor cranes, as the energy chain protects the cables inside, they are not compressed and are therefore guided safely in motion. With the Guidefast Control energy chain system, Igus has now developed an energy supply system that can also be used to supply the manual control system on overhead cranes. A trough reliably guides the energy chain with the cables and the driver arm, even under short-term high tensile loads. As with the 'Guidefast' guide trough for the cable routing of the trolley (hoist), the 'Guidefast control' is also easy to install: In the first step of installation, the guide trough is attached to the side of the crane girder to save space. It is then hooked into the brackets and bolted in place. Once in operation, the driver arm can be moved and positioned along the entire crane girder thanks to the lubrication- and maintenance-free 'Xiros' polymer ball bearings on the control block, regardless of the position of the hoist unit. The complete system is manufacturer-independent and can therefore be used with any crane design and control block both indoors and outdoors.
