Change of managing director at Althen

On April 1, 2019, Dr. Timo Hartmann took over the management of Althen Mess- und Sensortechnik in Kelkheim.

Dr. Hartmann holds a doctorate in nuclear physics and will be responsible at Althen for implementing the corporate strategy, managing the operational business and further developing the company. The previous Managing Director, Peter Rohrmann, will take on the role of Director New Business Development within the company, responsible for merging new business activities.

Dr. Hartmann has several years of experience in internationally active companies. He was previously Managing Director at Mirion Technologies (Canberra) in Rüsselsheim, where he was responsible for the areas of measurement technology for radioactive radiation, sales, service and projects.

Althen specializes in the electrical measurement of physical quantities and offers a portfolio covering all aspects of physical measurement variables such as pressure, force, torque, strain, displacement, angle of rotation, inclination, acceleration, vibration, rotation rate and temperature, as well as measuring amplifiers, data loggers and electronics for automation technology.
