Check Point
Whitepaper on protection against ransomware
Check Point has published a new white paper and a brochure on the topic of "Protection against ransomware across all attack surfaces". It is clear that a multi-layered security approach is urgently needed. CISOs are now challenged.
The sobering insight from the Check Point Software Technologies white paper: 71 percent of the organizations surveyed were affected by ransomware and the average cost of a data leak was 3.98 million euros. By 2031, Check Point expects total ransomware damage to amount to 242.5 billion euros.
During the research, it became clear that a multi-layered security approach is urgently needed to deal with the situation. According to Check Point, a consolidated security architecture from a single source with coordinated components must be able to cover the entire attack surface - whether endpoint security, portable devices, email security, security gateways, cloud security, automation of network policy management, SASE, AI-driven attacks or zero-day attacks. In addition, security training for employees, data protection through backups and regular updates are essential.
CISOs are now required to make the right decisions and convince managers in their own company.you can download the whitepaper here, the brochure is available here.
