Schmersal has equipped the electronic solenoid interlock 'AZM40' with new accessories and new features.

Its dimensions (119.5 mm x 40 mm x 20 mm) make it particularly suitable for small safety doors or maintenance hatches and confined installation spaces, but with a new locking clamp it can now also be used on larger, accessible machines and systems. Service staff can attach a lock to the locking tongs when entering the danger zone so that the guard door cannot be closed and unintentional start-up of the machine is prevented. In addition, the new versions of the solenoid interlock from Schmersal can be extended with an escape release or emergency unlocking. Two versions are available - with lever or push-button. Both are available as escape release and emergency release. The lever can be mounted directly on the guard locking device. The similarity of the push-button to an emergency stop button makes it intuitive to operate. The guard locking has also been extended to include protection class IP69 and a temperature range of -20 to +55 °C.
