Pilz hosted its annual press conference on April 6: In addition to the figures for the past financial year 2015, the provider of safe automation solutions from Ostfildern also announced the first information on the Hannover Messe innovations.
With 'Safety Device Diagnostics', Pilz is expanding its portfolio with a diagnostic solution consisting of a fieldbus module plus distributor and safe sensor technology. It makes it possible to easily retrieve extensive sensor data such as partial actuation, voltage surges and dips, temperature effects, switching cycles or RFID identification/recognition. In addition to remote maintenance (e.g. via web server), the integrated display on the fieldbus module ensures that information is not only available on operating monitors but also directly in the control cabinet. "Safety Device Diagnostics" is also easy to expand and therefore supports the modular design of machines. The connection of third-party devices is also possible via the integrated I/Os.
