Forum Safety & Security 2016

The 'Forum Safety & Security 2016' (formerly 'Forum Functional Safety') will take place in Munich from July 5 to 7. Interested speakers can submit their topic proposals by March 11.

For three days in July, everything at the Hilton Munich Airport will revolve around the safety of machines, systems and vehicles.

Functional safety plays a decisive role in industry and automotive engineering. Safety-critical systems must be developed in accordance with standards ranging from IEC 61508 as the overarching standard to specialist standards such as ISO 13849, ISO 26262 or IEC 61511.

However, with the networking of machines and production systems under the heading of 'Industry 4.0', for example, these systems must also be protected against sabotage, hacker attacks or even espionage, summarized under the term 'industrial security'. And vehicles - already the most complex nodes in the IoT - must also be protected against data manipulation.

Functional safety and security therefore go hand in hand - neither aspect should be ignored during the development or installation of the systems.

Taking this into account, the 'Safety & Security Forum' will address both topics from the perspective of the industrial and automotive application sectors and provide answers to important questions. The lecture program will range from the available hardware and software components, tools, aids and certification to the practical use of safe systems in production and in the automobile. At the accompanying trade exhibition, manufacturers and service providers will also be presenting their latest products and will be available for in-depth technical discussions.

Submit your presentation proposals via the online form by February 19, 2016! A purely technical treatment of the topic is mandatory. Marketing-oriented presentations will not be accepted.
