The 'Endian Secure Digital Platform' is a combined solution consisting of management tools, security gateways and secure endpoint connectivity. It connects and protects IT and OT environments and enables secure remote access and user management based on the Zero Trust principle. The platform is based on EndianOS, a hardened Linux operating system that focuses on security. EndianOS 6.8 relies on OAuth2.0-based authentication, which allows companies to use their existing identity services such as Microsoft Entra ID or Auth0. As soon as users log in with their existing account, all authorizations from the respective identity service are also transferred. This eliminates the additional creation of new user accounts as well as the error-prone double maintenance of rights. The current release also includes a new engine for application filtering and control, which was developed in collaboration with the company ntop: Using deep packet inspection, this engine recognizes and classifies the data traffic of over 400 IT and OT protocols in near real time while minimizing system load. According to the provider, this enables companies to analyze network traffic more precisely, better enforce policies and achieve greater transparency in complex environments in both office and production networks.

The performance and scalability of user and group management has also been improved and enhanced with new features such as a simplified user creation and editing process, unified search, filtering or multi-select editing. A completely redesigned certificate management engine supports external providers such as Let's Encrypt and ZeroSSL and allows for easy, automated management. The Endian Secure Digital Platform fulfills the requirements of IEC 62443 4-2, 3-3 for SL2 and NIS2.
