Modular robots, such as those developed by Robco, offer manufacturing companies the option of replacing or recombining parts as required. Instead of replacing the entire robot, the faulty module can be replaced in the event of a technical fault. This minimizes production downtime, costs for spare parts and, above all, waste, as the disposal and replacement of complete systems is avoided. In this way, the company aims to optimize the use of resources and reduce the ecological footprint of production.

The precise adaptation and optimization of modular robots to specific applications also helps to reduce energy consumption. According to Robco, a well-planned module that is tailored to the company's requirements works more efficiently than oversized systems, which often consume more energy than necessary.
