Change in the Management Team at Schunk
Schunk initiates a planned change in the management team: Falk Bäurle will take over the role of COO/CFO on December 1, 2025. The role of CSO will be filled by Karl Heckl on April 1, 2026.
Schunk is setting the course for the future with a carefully prepared change in management. Dr. Sebastian Hesse (CFO) and Johannes Ketterer (COO/CSO), who both began their professional careers at Schunk after completing their studies, have developed into members of the Management Board through various positions and are now handing over their responsibilities to new hands. After 13 years with the company, Dr. Sebastian Hesse stepped down from the Management Board on September 30, 2025 at his own request and for personal reasons. Johannes Ketterer will step down from his position as COO/CSO after twelve years at Schunk on December 1, 2025 in order to start his own family business. As a new member of the Board of Directors, he will continue to provide strategic support to Schunk and play an active role in the company's development.
Falk Bäurle will take over the role of COO/CFO on December 1, 2025. He has extensive experience in international management positions. Most recently, he was CFO at BBS Automation, a subsidiary of the Dürr Group. Karl Heckl, who previously worked as CSO at U.I. Lapp GmbH, will take over the role of CSO on April 1, 2026. Together with Kristina I. Schunk as CEO and Chairwoman of the Management Board and Timo Gessmann, CTO, they will form the Schunk Management Board.
