... 140 gigabytes of image and sensor data were ultimately available. Two flying robots provided the images, which the operator used to give instructions for the flight direction of the third flying robot. The latter maneuvered through narrow windows or a destroyed roof truss into the interior of the churches. The 3D models subsequently developed from interior and exterior images and laser sensor data showed the Italian Vigili del Fuoco fire department where the walls needed to be shored up to prevent further collapses and preserve the cultural assets.
