ABB has opened its first global Health Care Hub dedicated specifically to healthcare research on the campus of the Texas Medical Center (TMC) in Houston, Texas. A number of technology concepts were presented at the opening, including a mobile YuMi robot.

The two-armed YuMi laboratory robot from ABB is designed to support medical and laboratory specialists in laboratory work and logistical tasks in hospitals. It should be able to recognize its human colleagues independently and find its way around them autonomously.
