With the intelligent 'Gripping calculation and design tool', Schunk simplifies and accelerates the engineering of handling systems. A few details about the gripper type, workpiece and gripping situation are sufficient for the system to select the appropriate modules from the supplier's standard gripping component program. In addition to the corresponding gripper types, the hit list also includes technical information, drawings, images and details of the respective degree and reason for utilization. The tool can be used to maximize the performance of the individual grippers and avoid costly oversizing. The calculation and design process is also significantly accelerated. Intelligent logarithms enable a targeted preselection, which also takes into account components that the designer and system planner may not have on hand. Both the hit list and the individual details can be saved, which enables complete documentation and archiving of the design as well as recalculation in the event of changes to the details. The data can also be called up again at any time for subsequent projects. The intuitive, HTML-based tool takes around 2550 grippers into account.
