Montech presents the optimized LT40 conveyor system and the 4.0-capable TB30 and TB40 conveyors. The conveyor system's belt sections have been converted from belts to timing belts. As a result, it offers lower energy consumption, a 25% higher conveyor load and less wear, according to the manufacturer. For greater precision, the workpiece carriers and the placement and positioning device have been equipped with a new centering system. Other new features of the conveyor system include the 'Multi-Drive' control unit, which can be used to operate a maximum of twelve belt sections, a 180° deflection and indexing, which ensures precise positioning of the workpiece carrier. The TB30 and TB40 conveyors are operated via a touch panel on the conveyor belt. It is intuitive and self-explanatory and can be used for autonomous operation as well as for parameterization (operation via PLC). In autonomous mode, the operator can set the start/stop, speed, acceleration ramp and running direction of the conveyor belt. These parameters are also available in positioning mode. Furthermore, a travel cycle with travel distance and dwell time can be entered in positioning mode. Positioning mode can be continuous or reversing. In addition, the touch panel contains a status overview of the drive, which displays the current current, temperature and error messages, for example.
