The new Secretary General of the IFR is Dr. Susanne Bieller. She took over from Gudrun Litzenberger, who is retiring, on May 1, 2019. Litzenberger has also handed over the management of the IFR Statistical Department.

Gudrun Litzenberger has handed over the management of the IFR Statistical Department to Dr. Christopher Müller (37). Dr. Müller, who holds a doctorate in economics, is now responsible for global industry data and analyses and is in charge of the annual 'World Robotics Report'. This study is now regarded as the most important source for global robot statistics and covers all market-relevant activities of industrial and service robots.
