Automatica, the biennial 'Trade Fair for Automation and Mechatronics', will exceed the number of exhibitors from 2014 this year. Computer&AUTOMATION shows a selection of the new products presented by the 825 or so exhibitors in Munich in a picture gallery.
The TC 720 tool changer from rsp Robot System Products extends the modular 'TC240/480' series. It can be modularly equipped with various standardized media modules for air, power and media supply and thus adapts to customer-specific requirements. It is equipped with the 'TrueConnect' locking system. In this process, the tool changer is held by a ball system. The balls are used to automatically center the associated tool plate in specially incorporated cavities, which means that the system enables powerful, fast and precise tool changes, some of which take less than 1 second. This process guarantees a repeat accuracy in the 0.01 mm range over the entire service life.
