Matrix Vision is launching kits for laboratories, industry and beginners, which include the 'mvBlueGemini' smart camera, the intuitive 'mvImpact Configuration Studio' (ICS) and the appropriate accessories. ICS is web-based, does not need to be installed and can also be accessed simultaneously from different devices such as tablets, smartphones or PCs via the network or, if an access point is available, via WLAN. The intuitive user guidance using wizards and the reduction to essential parameters speed up application development. Tasks can also be trained, with the tool selecting the appropriate algorithms and setting the corresponding parameters. For this reason, knowledge of image processing is not absolutely necessary. The ICS is based on 'Halcon' and is matched to the hardware. The kits differ in their accessories. While the laboratory kit includes a network cable and a 24 V power supply unit, the industrial kit includes a drag-chain-compatible connection cable with an open cable end to replace the 24 V power supply unit. The starter kit includes a C-mount lens, a 24 V power supply unit, tripod, tripod adapter, suitable cables, a white ring light and an interface box.
