Kuka has chosen an outstanding concept in the field of human-machine collaboration: The 'CoAware' team convinced the jury with its demonstration in the fields of dynamic human modeling, image processing and interaction control for robots.

The other finalists in the robotics competition:
The 'Alberata' group from the University of Alberta looked at image-guided motion control for grasping and sorting objects, which even works in unstructured environments. This involves using methods in which the robot learns from humans. In this way, humans can work directly with the robot to teach it how to grasp and sort objects, even if they are initially unfamiliar objects.
