RoboticsKuka honors young researchers
The Augsburg-based robot manufacturer Kuka has presented its fourth 'Kuka Innovation Award' at the Hannover Messe. The prize, worth 20,000 euros, honors outstanding innovations in the field of modern mechatronics.

And finally, here is the winner of the Automation Award 2017: RAS. The project team from the German Aerospace Center consists of three researchers who have years of experience with robotic systems. They entered an airbag system designed to further improve human safety in human-robot collaboration. Similar to an airbag in a car, the system is inflated by air pressure as the robot moves.
