The Augsburg-based robot manufacturer Kuka has presented its fourth 'Kuka Innovation Award' at the Hannover Messe. The prize, worth 20,000 euros, honors outstanding innovations in the field of modern mechatronics.

Machamp: With their project, the team from the Italian Institute for Industrial Technology and Automation, Istituto Di Tecnologie Industriali E Automazione, is looking for a solution for human-robot collaboration in the assembly of heavy parts in the aviation industry. Advanced schemes for manual process control together with virtual elements guide the assembly process. The main aim is to reduce the physical strain on humans.
