The first market-ready product from Ottobock Industrials was 'Paexo Shoulder', which has been available on the market since October 2018. Weighing just 1.9 kg, it is the lightest exoskeleton of its kind, according to the manufacturer. Similar to a rucksack, 'Paexo Shoulder' is worn close to the body. The weight of the raised arms is transferred to the hips via arm shells using a mechanical pulley system. This is designed to noticeably protect the muscles and joints in the shoulder area and make overhead activities easier. The design is based on the natural movements of humans.
