Zimmer Group
Flexible automation thanks to standardized module
The Zimmer Group's 'Match' end-of-arm ecosystem is a standardized robot module that helps to make automation systems more flexible and efficient.
Match was developed in cooperation with J. Schmalz, has an extensive portfolio of functions and universal communication interfaces and is compatible with all lightweight robots on the market. In combination with the wide range of end effectors - consisting of mechanical grippers from the Zimmer Group and vacuum components from Schmalz - this results in a variety of possible applications. The system can be easily adapted according to requirements: either by changing grippers manually or automatically with the aid of a deposit station. Match is available in digital I/O, IO-Link and RS485. The user-friendly operation and commissioning via intuitive software solutions enables use without programming knowledge.
More flexibility in production processes is achieved with Match in combination with the ZiMo mobile robot cell. With ZiMo, the Zimmer Group has developed an automation solution consisting of a mobile platform and a robot. Thanks to its variable design and compact size, the robot cell can be used universally and independently. The free positioning enables fast commissioning without the need for complex connections to existing systems. ZiMo is also commissioned and operated using intuitive software.
