The robot, which is approved for protection class IP54, can implement what it has learned in the tightest of spaces. With its control sensors, it "feels" its way through devices. It also recognizes changes in the position of materials and can pick up objects that are not exactly aligned, realign them and place them correctly. The robot is able to perform tasks with a tolerance of 0.1 mm. Based on Series Elastic Actuators, a tolerant motion control system has been developed by combining mechanical compliance with force control, which, according to the supplier, enables safe, precise and flexible operation. The robot feels its way to the correct position without damaging parts, devices or itself. To receive and process visual information, the robot has an integrated camera system consisting of a head camera with a wide field of view and a Cognex camera in the wrist.
