Only 15.4 mm high

Opticon offers the FDI-4100 2D imager, which, according to the manufacturer, can be integrated into POS systems, PDAs, data collectors, terminals and ticket machines thanks to its design with a height of just 15.4 mm.

The imager reads 1D and 2D barcodes as well as OCR-B text. It can be used in applications such as access control, time recording and price checkers. Green and white LEDs and the new high-speed decoder make it easy to read any barcode - regardless of the barcode quality or surface properties (display, paper, tickets). The 2D imager is said to offer good reading properties thanks to a CMOS area imager and 100 fps. In addition, an 800 MHz processor supports decoding. When configuring the scanner, "Data Editing" supports the reading of up to 16 codes at once, as well as "GS1" for editing the scanned data in the defined format. The module has RS232C, USB and micro-USB interfaces.
