Beijer Electronics is expanding its product portfolio with the 7-inch rugged HMI panel iX T7BR, which has been developed for harsh operating environments: for use in hazardous areas, in storms, snow or rain, in high-performance engines in remote regions or offshore in damp engine rooms. According to the manufacturer, the HMI has been certified by all major classification societies for UL, IECEx and ATEX hazardous areas as well as for maritime use on ships and offshore installations (ABS, DNV, GL, LR, KR). The iX-HMI rugged panels are designed for operating temperatures between -30 and 70 °C and comply with the requirements of protection classes NEMA 4X and IP66. Communication options are available with the associated iX-HMI software. Vector graphics combined with intelligent functions that can be operated intuitively. The panel offers 2 × Ethernet, 2 × serial, 3 × USB standard, 2 × CiX CAN interfaces.
