The latest version of Graf-Syteco's K2 series keypad modules can be freely programmed. The keypads, which are integrated into the automation environment via an integrated CAN interface, then not only work purely passively, but can also trigger various actions when a button is pressed, depending on the status of the machine. The keypads have e1 approval and meet protection class IP65. They are therefore particularly suitable for mobile machines in the agricultural, construction and municipal sectors, for example. Together with the manufacturer's operating and control units, operating solutions for mobile machinery can be implemented. Depending on the type, the modules consist of four or five short-stroke buttons and one or two digital potentiometers. They can be installed both vertically and horizontally. The brightness of the keypad lighting can be dimmed. Thanks to the free programmability, many functions can be implemented without the need for the control unit. For example, it is only possible to execute a function when a button is pressed if the machine is moving at no more than a specified speed. Programming can be carried out either in C or with the GSVisu software.
