IAI is expanding its product portfolio with the new portable operating and display device with the 7-inch TB-02 color touchscreen, which has the shape of a tablet PC and is compatible with all of the company's products and controllers. With just one device, users can program various products: various electric linear drives, electric grippers, electric rotary axes, table and Scara robots as well as Cartesian robots. The device has dimensions of 190 mm × 155 mm, an overall height of 25 mm and a weight of 470 g. The menu screen can be operated via a selection of icons. In addition, an interactive user guide accompanies the program creation, in which the operating mode, position and speed must be selected. A function for setting and monitoring the gateway unit is just as much a part of the stowage as an off-board tuning function for automatically calculating the optimum control parameters. This also includes servo monitoring for monitoring and checking the operating conditions with display of signal curves. In addition to programming, the device also offers support for troubleshooting, a spare parts list, a glossary of terms and the option of saving programs, data and screenshots to an SD card. English, Japanese and Chinese can be selected as languages.
