Double security through redundancy
The 'Safety Key' from Hy-Line allows the simple integration of safety-relevant switches in glass displays.
According to the manufacturer, this opens up completely new freedoms when designing user interfaces for device control in medical technology or industry - the device interface is reduced and the machine design becomes more modern. As it must be absolutely certain in critical applications that no false activations occur, the switch from Hy-Line offers all the advantages of the PCAP sensor and combines them with an independent second level that monitors the touch input using an optical measuring principle. Only the combination of two events results in an actuation being passed on to the underlying system. The Safety Key is not a finished product, but a demonstrator for the technology that can be integrated into your own products.
