Display family for outdoor applications
Semsotec has launched a new family of TFT displays for outdoor applications. It consists of displays in the diagonals 7.0 inch, 10.1 inch and 15.6 inch TFT, optionally available with PCAP touchscreen.
The displays were specially developed by Semsotec for extreme environmental conditions in outdoor areas. The display design with a brightness of up to 1100 cd/m² and a contrast of 900:1 ensures good readability in direct sunlight. Common to all devices is the extended temperature range of at least -30 to +80 °C; the viewing angle is at least 80/80/80/80. The optional PCAP touchscreen works with a controller that is immune to water and salt water and can also be operated with gloves or a stylus. Multi-touch and gesture operation are also possible. The manufacturer also offers optically bonded glass for protection against misuse (IP65) and a glare-free surface for the cover glass to reduce reflections.
