Patent figures remain at a high level

Endress+Hauser invested more money in research and development in 2022 than ever before - a total of 7.2 % of turnover was invested in R&D.

In 2022, Endress+Hauser spent 242 million euros on research and development - 7.2% of turnover, 13.6% more than in the previous year. Endress+Hauser filed 235 patent applications for inventions for the first time in 2022. The property rights portfolio continued to grow: Around 8,700 patents and patent applications protect the intellectual property behind Endress+Hauser's products, solutions and services from imitators.

Endress+Hauser, a provider of measurement and automation technology for processes and laboratories, based in Reinach/Switzerland, generated sales of over 3.3 billion euros in 2022 with almost 16,000 employees. The company was founded in 1953 by Georg H. Endress and Ludwig Hauser.
