Measurement technology manufacturer becomes part of Battery Ventures
imc Test & Measurement, manufacturer of measurement and testing technology, joins the Test & Measurement group of Battery Ventures - a technology-oriented investment firm. On March 31, 2021, the transfer of 100% of imc's shares to Battery was agreed.
The Test & Measurement Group of Battery Ventures already includes the brands Audio Precision, a US manufacturer of audio measurement and test equipment, and the Danish measurement microphone manufacturer Gras Sound & Vibration. imc Test & Measurement (imc) complements this group as a data acquisition and measurement technology company and broadens the focus from audio measurement solutions to a holistic portfolio of measurement and test solutions. Mike Flaherty heads the organization as Group CEO.
imc was founded in Berlin in 1988, merged with long-time distribution partner imc Test & Measurement in 2018 and most recently had global offices in China, the USA, France, Switzerland, Korea and the Netherlands. Together with Audio Precision and GRAS, the Test & Measurement group offers a comprehensive range of test, measurement and analysis solutions for research, development and production in the fields of audio testing, thermal testing, durability analysis, vehicle dynamics, power measurement, sound and vibration as well as component testing such as test benches for electric motors.
Since 2003, Battery has completed more than 50 industry-related transactions in the US and Europe and continues to expand its investments in industrial technology markets.
