Physik Instrumente founds subsidiary
Physik Instrumente has founded a new subsidiary, PI Innovation. Lucius Amelung takes over the management.
With the founding of PI Innovation, Physik Instrumente (PI) wants to continue to focus on progress and growth. The specific goal: to recognize market trends and customer needs even earlier and to translate this knowledge into product and technology developments.
Lucius Amelung was appointed Managing Director of PI Innovation on July 1, 2018. After 28 years, he handed over the management of PI miCos to Dr. Peter Schittenhelm. Dr. Schittenhelm now performs this function in addition to his responsibilities as Managing Director Operations (COO) of the PI Group. In addition to Lucius Amelung, Markus Spanner, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the PI Group, will also join the Management Board of PI Innovation.
As part of this change in management, Physik Instrumente (PI) has also acquired the remaining shares in PI miCos, making the company a wholly owned subsidiary. Within the PI Group, PI miCos will be strengthened and further expanded as a competence center for motorized positioning axes.
