According to Fraunhofer IPA, a near-real-time database is the prerequisite for further optimization measures in the factory of the future. The scientists are demonstrating this stage with a new mixed reality solution. They have connected all of the machines and systems on display at the 2nd Top Meeting to the Virtual Fort Knox (VFK) cloud platform. Hololens glasses with 3D spatial recognition are also networked with it. The wearer now sees the near-real-time machine data displayed on a virtual dashboard.
