According to a recent study, the German IIoT market will more than double in the next five years - to around EUR 16.8 billion in sales in 2022. Two sectors are showing particularly strong growth.

The German industrial IoT market will more than double in the next five years - to around 16.8 billion euros in sales in 2022. The automotive industry, already the largest market segment today, is growing the fastest at 20.2%. There is also strong growth of 18.9% per year in mechanical and plant engineering. Together, these two segments account for over 50% of the entire IIoT market in Germany.
