iT Engineering Software Innovations presents IIoT Building Blocks for the digitalization of production. The IIoT Building Blocks support the complete process of industrial data processing.
Unigate Falcon is the latest generation of the protocol converter/gateway series from Deutschmann Automation. The DIN rail modules connect automation components with the desired fieldbus or Industrial Ethernet standard. With dimensions of 25 mm × 77.5 mm × 94.1 mm (W × H × D), the modular product series is a good 30 % smaller than its predecessor. The devices are based on ARM Cortex-M processor technology. The modules are configured via a USB interface. Free programming, for example to emulate proprietary protocols, is possible with the manufacturer's Protocol Developer Tool and the script language developed in-house. Simple scripts can be executed in just a few microseconds. Script debugging is also carried out via the USB interface. The first representative of the new protocol converter/gateway series is the 'Uniate Falcon Profibus DP', variants for Ethercat and Profinet will follow shortly.
