Fast access to production data

Rockwell Automation is expanding its EMI software (Enterprise Manufacturing Intelligence) Factorytalk Vantagepoint in version 7.0 with functions for easier configuration.

This should speed up access to large amounts of data, as manufacturing intelligence solutions only need to be configured and imported once. The new version offers users direct access to Logix-based data. The information is saved and displayed using an intuitive workflow wizard. Processes such as installation, configuration and display have been standardized, according to the manufacturer. This should enable users to view and evaluate their Logix-based data on the device of their choice, such as a PC, tablet or smartphone. The workflow wizard can also be used to share certain data views and trends with other employees across the company. In addition, Factorytalk Vantagepoint now also automatically installs Factorytalk Historian SE software. This gives users access to the Vantagepoint mobile website with new import and configuration options.
