Hanover Fair 2016
The nominees for the Hermes Award
Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka, Federal Minister of Education and Research, will announce the winner of the Hermes Award 2016 on April 24 following the opening ceremony of the Hannover Messe. The jury has now nominated the five finalists.
The winner of the annual Hermes Award presented by Hannover Messe can look forward to a PR package with a total value of around 100,000 euros. The international technology prize, which aims to promote the rapid implementation of new ideas into marketable products and processes, is now in its thirteenth year.
Last year, Wittenstein won the Hermes Award for its 'Galaxie' product. This is a high-performance gearbox with dynamized individual teeth and hydrodynamic full-surface tooth engagement. This results in an internal power transmission surface that is more than six times larger than that of conventional gearboxes.
