Negative prize 'Plagiarius' launched in new round
The 'Plagiarius' campaign is holding its competition of the same name for the 42nd time. Companies, designers and inventors once again have the chance to submit their original products and alleged imitations and propose the plagiarist as the winner of the negative prize.
Before the annually changing jury selects the winners from all the entries, it notifies the alleged plagiarists of their nomination in writing. This gives them the opportunity to make a statement. In addition to general case-related information, these reactions - if used - are also included in the evaluation. From soft, entrepreneurs, designers and inventors are invited to suggest alleged imitators of their product to the jury. The deadline for the 2018 competition round is November 30, 2017.
The following must be submitted to the competition
- the original product
- the alleged plagiarism
- the completed entry form
- the correspondence with the plagiarist, if any
- copies of registered industrial property rights, if applied for
- any other background information that may be helpful to the jury
The 'Plagiarius 2018' negative award will be presented at a press conference on February 9, 2018 at the consumer goods fair 'Ambiente'. During the trade fair, all submitted originals and plagiarisms will be on display in a prominent position in Foyer 5.1 / 6.1. Afterwards, the award-winning products will be presented to a wide audience at the Museum Plagiarius in Solingen and at traveling exhibitions around the world.
