Siemens - Changes in the Managing BoardSuccessor to Siegfried Russwurm appointed

As part of the implementation of 'Vision 2020', the Siemens Group is restructuring its Managing Board. Among other things, Roland Busch was appointed as the new CTO and successor to Siegfried Russwurm on December 1.

As the new Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Siemens, Roland Busch (52), previously responsible for the Energy Management Division and the Asia/Australia region, will take over the management of the central Siemens research and development department. In future, Busch will also be responsible for Corporate Development (CD), the start-up unit next47 and will assume regional responsibility for the Middle East and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on April 1, 2017. In addition, Busch will remain responsible for the Mobility and Building Technologies divisions. The previous CTO and Siemens Managing Board member Siegfried Russwurm (53) and the Siemens Supervisory Board agreed in September not to extend Russwurm's contract, which expires at the end of March 2017.
