Siemens / 2nd quarter 2016Strong result in industrial business
In the second quarter of fiscal year 2016, order intake at Siemens rose by 7% to €22.3 billion - an increase of 10% after adjusting for currency translation effects. The Group significantly improved its earnings in the Industrial Sector.

In the PLM software business, there was continued growth compared to the same period of the previous year. The increase in earnings is mainly due to the factory automation business and the weak prior-year result.
