On July 26, the Solar Impulse 2 landed in Abu Dhabi - the last stop on a historic round-the-world flight in a solar-powered aircraft that began on March 9, 2015. As one of the technology partners, ABB was involved in the project from the very beginning.

23 days of flight, 17 stages over Asia, the Pacific, the USA, the Atlantic, the Mediterranean and the Middle East and 43,041 kilometers - these are the sober figures for the round-the-world flight. The picture shows the overjoyed team that made the record-breaking flight of the Solar Impulse 2 (SI2) possible.
