SPS IPC Drives 2018New products in Nuremberg
What new products will exhibitors be presenting at SPS IPC Drives 2018? Computer&AUTOMATION provides an overview of what visitors to the Nuremberg exhibition halls can expect this year.

Release v4.1 of the Servosoft application software from ControlEng is now available for download. One focus of the revised version is the complete integration of the active energy management solutions from Michael Koch. The dimensioning and simulation of complete servo drive systems from the socket to the shaft, including all necessary components, is supplemented by the complete Koch product range. In addition to the standard cycle, Servosoft Release v4.1 also models the management of drive energy, including the necessary hardware. Users can run through various scenarios from massive voltage fluctuations to mains interruptions at any point in the travel cycle with a click of the mouse. Situations such as planned or unplanned, shorter or longer grid interruptions, peak load reduction compared to the grid or simply increasing efficiency by temporarily storing braking energy can be analyzed and designed with the appropriate hardware. The detailed model is calculated in real time. Users can examine the energy storage, the power flow and the voltage and current levels in the system at any time. As a result, the program not only displays the entire servo drive system but also the active energy management solution that matches the selected design.
